The best med spa booking software is a platform built for spas, such as Boulevard, Mangomint, Vagaro or GlossGenius. Each books by service and provider, with deposits, reminders and client records in one place, from $30 to a few hundred dollars a month. None of them fixes the call or DM you miss while you are with a client.

Prices below are from each vendor's own page, as listed on October 20, 2026. They change often, so check before you sign.

What should med spa booking software do?

It should let a client book the right service with the right provider in under a minute, protect that time with a deposit and reminders, and keep forms, payments and history on one client record. If you have to work around any of the basics below, keep looking.

  • Online booking by service and provider, with consults kept separate from treatments.
  • Deposits or a card on file, with your cancellation policy shown at booking.
  • Automatic reminders by text and email.
  • Intake and consent forms, signed before the visit.
  • Charting and before-and-after photos, if your providers chart there.
  • Memberships, packages and gift cards.
  • Payments at checkout, and rebooking before the client leaves.
  • Reports on rebooking, no-shows and revenue by provider.

If your spa handles health information under HIPAA, ask each vendor whether it will sign a business associate agreement. Ask your counsel whether HIPAA applies to you.

What does med spa booking software cost in 2026?

Entry plans start around $30 to $168 a month for one location, and the bill grows with providers, users and add-ons like forms and texting. Card processing is always on top.

Platform What it lists Worth knowing
Vagaro $30 a month for one location Each added bookable calendar is $10, up to seven; unlimited reminders included
Boulevard Essentials $143 a month for 1 location; Premier $234 (normally $293); Prestige $328 (normally $410) The Premier and Prestige prices were a limited-time offer; the Forms add-on starts at $65 a month
Mangomint $120 a month per location, plus $10 per user Forms, memberships and automated flows included; the Phone add-on for calls and texts is $70 a month per line
GlossGenius Medspa plans: Practice Essentials $168 a month, Practice Advanced $298 Lower if billed yearly: $148 and $248

Mangomint's own page gives an example: one location with three users is $120 plus $30, or $150 a month before add-ons. It also lists card rates of 2.45% plus 15 cents in person and 2.90% plus 30 cents online.

Which one fits your spa?

Pick the platform that fits how you book today, then test it with your real menu for two weeks. Switching later is painful, so the trial is worth the time.

  • Solo injector or a small salon. Start with the lower-cost plans, like Vagaro or GlossGenius, and turn on deposits and reminders.
  • A multi-provider med spa with memberships. Boulevard and Mangomint are built for that. Compare them on forms, memberships and what texting costs.
  • Heavy charting. Compare the clinical side closely, or keep charting in the system your providers already trust.
  • Happy with what you have? Do not switch. Fix the front door first.

What does booking software miss?

Booking software waits for the client to book. Plenty of first-time clients want to ask something first: "How much is lip filler?" "Do you have anything Saturday?" They call while your injector is mid-treatment, or they DM on Instagram at 10 PM. If nobody answers, they book somewhere that does.

That gap is the front door, and it sits outside the booking tool:

  • Calls you miss during treatments.
  • DMs and website messages after hours.
  • Consult requests that never turned into a booking.
  • Past clients who are due for a touch-up and were never asked.

An AI receptionist and text-back covers that gap. It answers from facts you approve, sends your booking link or offers real open times, and hands every medical question to your staff. It never gives medical advice.

Custom vs rented vs doing it yourself

Rented booking platform Built around your platform Doing it yourself
Books appointments Yes Uses your platform By phone and DMs
Answers missed calls and DMs Partly, depending on add-ons Yes, by text from your number When someone has time
Clinical records In the platform Stay in the platform; we do not touch them Paper or a separate system
Cost Monthly, by location and users A build priced on a free call, then a flat monthly plan Front desk hours
What you own Your data, in their account The code, the data and the accounts we build Everything, and all the work

How do you switch platforms without losing clients?

Switch in a slow month, move your data before you move your bookings, and tell clients before anything changes. Most of the pain in a switch comes from lost history and confused clients, not from the new software.

  1. Export everything first: clients, upcoming appointments, packages, memberships, gift card balances and forms.
  2. Ask the new vendor to import it and check a sample of records by hand.
  3. Run both for a short overlap, so no booked visit falls through.
  4. Update every booking link: your website, Google Business Profile and Instagram.
  5. Text clients once with the new booking link and a short note that nothing else changes.

What should you ask before you sign?

  • What is my monthly total for my locations, providers and add-ons like forms and texting?
  • Can online bookings take a deposit or a card on file?
  • Can clients text my number and get an answer, or only receive reminders?
  • Will you sign a business associate agreement if we need one?
  • Can I export clients, notes and photos if I leave?
  • What are the card processing rates?

Questions owners ask

What is the best booking software for a med spa?

For most med spas, a platform built for spas, such as Boulevard, Mangomint, Vagaro or GlossGenius. Pick by size: lower-cost plans for a solo injector, deeper ones for a multi-provider spa with memberships. Test two with your real menu before you commit.

How much does med spa booking software cost?

On the pricing pages we checked in October 2026, Vagaro starts at $30 a month for one location, Mangomint at $120 per location plus $10 per user, Boulevard at $143 a month and GlossGenius medspa plans at $168. Card processing is extra.

Is Vagaro or Boulevard better for a med spa?

It depends on size and budget. Vagaro lists a lower starting price. Boulevard is built for larger, multi-provider spas and lists higher plans plus a paid forms add-on. Compare both on the features you will use every day.

Does med spa booking software need to be HIPAA compliant?

If your spa is a HIPAA covered entity, vendors that handle patient information for you should sign a business associate agreement. Ask each vendor, and ask your counsel whether HIPAA applies to your spa.

Can Elevate connect a text-back to my booking software?

Often, yes. On the free call we check what your platform allows. If it cannot connect, we will say so and suggest the simplest route that still answers every missed call.
