For most detail, coating and tint shops, the best CRM is detailing software with vehicle records, quotes, deposits and follow-ups built in, such as Urable or Mobile Tech RX, or TintWiz for tint-focused shops. Jobber fits shops that sell other services too. A custom CRM makes sense when leads from calls and Instagram never reach the tool.

The prices below come from each vendor's own pricing page, as listed on October 22, 2026. Vendors change them often, so check before you buy.

What should a detailing CRM track?

The customer and the car, over years, not just the next appointment. A detail shop sells the same person a wash package, then a coating, then film on the new truck. If the CRM cannot hold that history, every visit starts from zero.

  • Customers with more than one vehicle. Year, make, model, color and VIN on each.
  • Photos. Before, after and any damage noted at drop-off.
  • Quotes with options. Packages, film types, coating levels and add-ons.
  • Deposits at booking, so a held bay is paid for.
  • Reminders and follow-ups, from the day-before text to the coating check a year later.
  • Where each lead came from: Instagram, Google, a referral or a dealer.
  • Fleet and dealer accounts, if you do that work.

Is a booking app the same as a CRM?

No. A booking app fills the calendar and takes deposits. A CRM remembers the customer and the car after the appointment ends, and tells you who to follow up with. Many detailing tools do both. If all you need is a calendar with deposits, read booking software for auto detailing first. It may be all you need.

What do detailing CRMs cost in 2026?

On the pages we checked, detailing software runs from $19 to about $220 a month before extra users. Some tools charge per user and some do not, which matters as you hire.

Tool What it lists Worth knowing
Urable Express $70, Pro $110, Enterprise $183 a month billed yearly; $70, $120 and $220 paid monthly Unlimited users; VIN scan and inspection photos on all plans; online booking with deposits from Pro
Mobile Tech RX Getting Started $39, Standard $99, Pro $199 a month per admin Each added user is $15 or $29 a month; deposits and a client portal from Standard
DetailerMade Essential $19, Choice $99, Exclusive $199 a month Deposits and client texting on Choice and up; vehicles and reminder texts on all plans
TintWiz $150 a month, flat No per-user fees; proposals by text and email with automatic follow-ups
OrbisX $100 a month, one plan Listed as limited-time promo pricing; texting through credits or a third-party app
Jobber Core $49, Connect $139, Grow $199 a month for 1 user, paid monthly A general field-service tool; extra users $29 a month; two-way texting on Grow
Square Free $0, Plus $49, Premium $149 a month per location Booking, deposits and reminders; card fees on top
HubSpot free tools Free for up to 2 users A general CRM with no vehicle records
Zoho CRM Free Free for up to 3 users A general CRM with no vehicle records

Jobber also lists lower prices if you pay for a year up front: Core is $29 a month and Grow $149 billed yearly.

What does a five-person shop pay?

Here is the list-price math for a shop with five people who need logins, paid monthly. It is arithmetic on the prices above, not a quote.

Plan A month A year
Urable Pro, unlimited users $120 $1,440
Urable Pro, billed yearly $110 $1,320
TintWiz, flat $150 $1,800
Mobile Tech RX Standard, 1 admin and 4 users $215 $2,580
Jobber Grow, 5 users $299 $3,588

Then add card processing and any texting credits. Ask each vendor to name both.

Which CRM fits your shop?

Pick by what you sell and how you grow, not by the longest feature list. A mobile detailer and a film and coating shop need different things. Here is an honest starting point.

  • Solo mobile detailer. DetailerMade Essential, Square's free plan or a good spreadsheet. Spend first on answering inquiries fast.
  • Detail and coating shop with a small team. Urable or Mobile Tech RX. Check how each prices users before you hire.
  • Tint-focused shop. Try TintWiz next to Urable. The flat price and automatic proposal follow-ups suit shops that quote a lot of film.
  • Detailing plus other services, like pressure washing. Jobber, since it handles many kinds of jobs.
  • Fleet and dealer work. Make sure the tool handles multi-vehicle jobs and account billing. Urable lists fleet jobs on every plan.

If one of these covers how you work, use it. That is often the right answer, and we say so on our free calls.

What about coating maintenance and film warranties?

This is where many shops leak repeat work. None of the pricing pages we checked name coating or film warranty tracking. Urable lists long-term, service-level follow-up messages on its Pro plan. Before you sign, ask the vendor to show you a coating customer's record and the reminder that goes out a year later.

When does a custom CRM make sense for a detail shop?

When inquiries from calls, texts and Instagram never reach the tool, when your quote form and your CRM do not talk, or when you sell tint, film, coatings and detailing with different quoting rules. It rarely makes sense for a solo detailer.

We run our own paint protection film and tint shop in Houston. Its estimate form writes straight into the shop CRM, with the vehicle, the service and the lead source, and you can see how it works in the tint and PPF shop case study. Elevate, a Houston AI, software and marketing studio led by Justin Davis, builds that kind of system for other shops, or just the piece in front of the tool you already use: a missed-call text-back, a quote tool and follow-up.

Custom vs rented vs doing it yourself

Rented detailing CRM Built for you Doing it yourself
Cost to start A free trial, then a monthly plan A build, priced on a free call Your time
Monthly cost By plan, sometimes by user A flat monthly plan, no per-seat fee A spreadsheet is free
Vehicles and photos Built in on detailing tools Built around your services Only if someone keeps it updated
Your data Exportable, but the account is theirs You own the code, the data and the accounts Yours
Biggest risk Paying for features nobody uses Hiring the wrong builder Leads lost in DMs and memory

What should you ask before you sign?

Take these questions to every demo, ours included.

  • What is the monthly total for my exact team, front desk included?
  • Can it text customers from my business number, and can they text back?
  • Does it hold more than one vehicle per customer, with photos?
  • Can it remind a coating customer a year later, automatically?
  • How do Instagram messages and missed calls get in?
  • Can I export every customer, vehicle and photo if I leave?
